Moving into serviced offices in Northampton could be one way for small businesses to ensure they survive difficult economic times.
This is according to comments made by experts at an Insider Media debate, who suggested that risk management is something organisations should consider.
Charlie Cowan, chief executive of cloud computing consultancy Keboko, spoke of the benefits of operating out of buildings that are maintained by a third party.
He said: "For a start-up like us it was an easy decision to go into a serviced office. It means you don't have the start-up costs associated with taking a long lease and doing things on your own."
Meanwhile, national sales director for Jelf Group Brett Raynes urged company directors to constantly review any potential threats that could be damaging to business.
Industry advice website New Business describes how serviced offices have grown in popularity due to the flexibility and lack of necessary management that they offer organisations.
