Employers may want to allow flexible working at serviced offices in Cardiff following one expert's comments.
Shirley Borrett, development director at the Telework Association, explained that providing staff with the chance to work from home occasionally can be beneficial for companies.
She explained that organisations can reduce costs by introducing desk-sharing and hot-desking if they have a rota where some days a number of individuals operate out of the office.
This can help save costs on real estate and in some cases improve productivity, it was suggested.
In addition, Ms Borrett remarked that "there are other benefits, like loyalty, lower turnover of staff and all of those sorts of things".
However, it was noted that many companies still associate flexible home working solely with employees who have children, rather than staff as a whole.
The comments follow a recent survey by Swinton Home Insurance that revealed 22 per cent of workers feel being able to carry out their job from home would be ideal for their situation.
