Workers in serviced offices in Northampton might find their employers allow them to adopt flexible hours when the Olympic Games occur next year.
Research from Deloitte has found 44 per cent of organisations will encourage staff to go to the Olympic and Paralympic events in 2012, while 42 per cent will fit screens allowing employers to watch the contest on TV.
London 2012 lead partner Heather Hancock said: "Businesses need to think about the policies they will put in place for their workforce next summer."
This will also involve planning ahead for greater levels of absence as people book time off work to head to London.
Some 32 per cent of those quizzed admitted they would be happy for employees to watch live events during working hours, as long as they made up the time at the start or end of the day.
Tickets for the Olympics have now gone on sale and will be available until April 26th.
