Prime minster David Cameron gave encouraging signs to businesses - such as those using serviced offices in Northampton – in his speech to the Confederation of British Industries (CBI) at its annual conference yesterday (October 25th), it has been noted.
Reacting to Mr Cameron's dialogue, CBI director-general Richard Lambert said the country's leader demonstrated a passion for enterprise and a realisation that growth will only be bought about through business.
"There was a welcome emphasis on the need to re-boot the country’s infrastructure, with a coherent vision of what needs to be done over the next five years to secure economic growth," he stated.
Mr Lambert added it was encouraging to hear the head of the coalition speaking about all parts of the monetary system, such as transport, energy, ports and broadband.
Earlier this week, director of ByteStart Emyr Williams observed while the government's recent Comprehensive Spending Review may have financial implication for some firms, those enterprises offering efficient, cost-effective services could pick up more business from the public sector.
