Firms could find business centres provide them with a boost during the ongoing economic turbulence.

A new business centre in Coventry aims to encourage new firms and have a positive impact on the economy, reports the Coventry Telegraph.

The property was purchased by Moat House Community Trust on the Alderman's Green Industrial Estate with New Deal for the Communities funding and support from Coventry City Council.

Dianne Williams, director of operations at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: "We have to do everything we can to encourage and foster new businesses - particularly in regeneration areas where the figures show that there are historically fewer start-ups."

She added the positives are noticeable in the local economy as Coventry companies have already been engaged to work on the conversion.

Darren Clark, director of Televersity, recently suggested that his company has "not looked back" since its move to the Marlowes Business Centre.
