Ladies may want to brush up on their IT skills in order to secure interviews at serviced offices in Edinburgh.
This is following comments made by the managing director of womenintechnology.co.uk Maggie Berry, who explained that such experience is attractive to employers.
"Many companies are keen to hire more female talent for technology roles but there just aren't enough qualified women out there, with less entering the profession and more leaving it," she commented.
It was suggested that those who have IT skills will have little problem getting an interview and their talents will only serve to help them as the industry progresses.
Ms Berry added that 2011 is likely to see increasing numbers of businesses looking to take on IT staff and investing in such knowledge will help individuals to stand out against competition.
Elsewhere Teresa Schofield, regional leader of the Global Marathon Europe, recently commented that there needs to be a stronger female presence in the technology sector.
