Graduates hoping to secure their dream job at serviced offices in Cardiff need to ensure they are preparing for interviews well in advance.
This is according to deputy director of research at the Higher Education Careers Services Unit Charlie Ball, who described how there is fierce competition for positions.
Earlier this week, the Incomes Data Services reported that there were 44 applicants for every graduate vacancy in 2010, which was an increase of 25 per cent from 35 in 2009.
It was suggested that in 2011 this could rise further as unemployed individuals from the previous year apply for the same positions again.
However, Mr Ball stated that the majority of graduates are still likely to secure employment this summer and autumn.
In order to do so, he advised people that "if you want to secure your dream job you need to put the groundwork in very, very early and be extremely well-prepared".
