Organisations operating out of serviced offices in Northampton may agree with comments made by one expert about the state of money lending.
Ed Moss, spokesman for the Manufacturing Institute, explained how many small businesses are still struggling to gain access to finance from banks.
He claimed that for many companies "cash flow is still a problem" that "has not gone away".
It was suggested that many businesses are untrusting of banking institutes and suffer as a result of the limited lending situation.
In order to help small organisations remain in operation, Mr Moss noted that "something else has to be looked at" as many cannot afford to charge clients interest if they fail to pay on time.
Demanding payment like this would cause many companies to lose business, it was implied.
Mr Moss' comments follow the recent announcement of the Small Business Act by the European Commission.
The legislation is designed to help improve access to finance for small to medium-sized enterprises.
