Sustainability will become increasingly important for businesses - including those in serviced offices - it has been suggested.
Paul Anderson, programme director for infrastructure outsourcing at Capgemini, an IT services and business consultancy firm, said a sustainability strategy will become "critical" to organisations.
Meeting green standards will soon "be high on the agenda" for companies, he continued, because everyone is becoming increasingly aware of the requirements they need to meet.
Mr Anderson stated implementing sustainable and green policies can result in "massive savings" for firms and give the added benefit of reducing their overall carbon footprint.
Therefore, organisations in serviced offices may wish to prioritise sustainability to a greater extent.
Mr Anderson added Capgemini had improved its strategy by examining where manufacturers source parts from in order to understand how they are produced.
His remarks come after the company announced the launch of a Tier Three facility named Merlin that it describes as the world's most energy-efficient and sustainable data centre.
